The Kopul CMX-2-V2 is a compact, camera-mountable audio adapter designed to record sound from professional microphones, wireless systems, preamplifiers, and external mixers directly to a DSLR camera or camcorder.

Two balanced three-pin XLR inputs accept microphone- or line-level signals. Independent left and right switches allow each input to be configured for the connected source, while stepped rubber trim controls provide precise level adjustment and help balance two audio channels.

A 3.5mm stereo auxiliary input supports compatible smartphones, tablets, portable audio players, wireless devices, and other equipment with a 3.5mm audio output. The adapter sends mic-level stereo audio to a compatible camera through its 3.5mm output.

The mono and stereo selector supports single- or dual-source recording. Mono mode routes one source to both the left and right channels, while stereo mode keeps two sources on individually adjustable channels. When the auxiliary input is used, its signal is routed to the right channel.

A two-position ground switch helps reduce hum or buzz caused by ground loops. The fully passive design requires no batteries or external power and avoids adding powered circuitry to the audio signal path.

The compact, rugged chassis mounts beneath a camera using the integrated 1/4"-20 threaded post. A 1/4"-20 threaded socket on the base allows the camera-and-adapter assembly to be installed on a compatible tripod or support system.
